This Tree Seat has been very popular, now 6 years making and suitable also as friendship seat in schools it comes ready with easy instructions for self assembly using just a screwdriver and spanner.

As with most of our furniture it is treated with a water based laquer which is less harmful to the environment and is safe for children. No pressure treated timber is used. The feet are made from hardwood to prevent decay. See our Choice of Timber section on our Environment page for more details.

Tree seats and friendship seats are great attractions for garden or village green and children especially seem to be drawn to them.

The size below seems to fit 'most' trees but as each is hand crafted we can easily work to commission. Just telephone or email us the size of your tree (girth or diameter) so we can quote you.

Calculating the correct size

Seat height is 40 cms. so measure tree at this point.
Measure circumference and
divide by 3.14 to calculate the Diameter.

Then add on 40 cms to Dia. to allow for tree as backrest and growth, and you have the Inside Diameter as shown in the table.

The seat itself is 30 cms wide.

Alternatively give us the Diameter or Circumference and we can work out the price.

We have also made odd sizes e.g. Whitton Primary School so if you have other requirements not shown please do not hesitate to enquire.
